The Township of Langley is aiming for the targets of reducing emissions by 45% by 2030, and reducing emissions by 100% (net-zero emissions) by 2050. The Strategy outlines targets, five Big Moves, and over 140 actions to address the changing climate and prepare us for the future. The five Big Moves include: Safe and Sustainable Transportation; Zero Emission New Buildings; Zero Emission Existing Buildings; Zero Emission Corporate Operations; and Resilient Natural Systems.
